English Mentors This page is all about the English Mentors of ACS, those dedicated to improving the quality of work produced by their mentees. Here, you will find some general information about the mentors whose names are arranged in alphabetical order according to grade level. Diana A. Grade: 10
Comments: I want to be an English Mentor because I enjoy English class, and I believe that I have good verbal skills. I have potential in writing, reading, vocabulary, and grammar. I think I'm capable of helping people develop better English skills. I would be very committed to the program, just as I was to other programs. I freed time in order to commit to this program. Marcel AbiSamra Grade: 10
Comments: I like mentoring because I like helping students do better and succeed. I also know that mentoring benefits me as much as it benefits my mentee. Nada K. Grade: 10
Comments: I believe I can be of great assistance to anyone who wants help, because I'm great at teaching! I'm here to help! Marwa S. Grade: 10
Comments: Glad to be a mentor! Daria S. Grade: 10

Comments: I'm Roy, and this is my 4th year at ACS. I came here in 7th grade and I know what it feels like to be a new student. Both my parents are Lebanese but I consider myself American. I'm realy active at school- and enjoy taking part in the activities provided for us. The English Mentorship program is a great way to make new friends- a both mentor and mentee learn lots of new things. Zahra H. Grade: 11
Comments: I would like to be an English Mentor because I love working with other people. I was in a tutoring program last year and worked as a tutor. I really liked it, and would love to do it again. English is one of my strongest subjects, and I enjoy it. I love working with my peers, and I feel that it will help me learn new ideas and gain more experience. Sophia R. Grade: 11
Comments: I am very glad to be an English mentor. When I came to ACS in 7th Grade I didn't speak English that well but slowly, with help, I became better and better at it. I realy enjoy guiding younger students, because I have a younger brother and I know how to have a good time. I know that with help, and practice anyone can get to speak english well, and I hope that I can be the one holding your hand, guiding you through the process. Lena H. Grade: 12
Comments: Hi everyone! I just wanted to say that I'm really glad that I joined this group, and I'm very happy that I get the chance to mentor others. I'm currently taking the full IB course, and I'm really excited about that. Although I graduate next year, I feel that I can help mentees since I am one of the older mentors in the group. ________________________________________________________________________ **Honorary Mentors are 12th graders who do not need CS hours; they are just there to help us. _________________________________________________________________________ Mentors B-Days: Nada K.
